How it works

What actually happens when you get a Profile

Nothing should be a surprise on the first day. If you still have unanswered questions, please let us know.

When you sign up

Schedule around your life

You find a time that works for you on our portal. All sessions are on video. We record sessions, which are de-identified, stored, and protected in our HIPAA compliant database.

The first session

Meet your Orchard clinician

Our first session is about an hour. We take your history, what you have already tried, what happened when you tried it, and what you are hoping changes. A structured symptom rating is administered, so the starting point is measured rather than estimated. This is an assessment conversation, not therapy.

Across the next two weeks

Have a few short conversations

These are the ones that do the work a single appointment cannot. Each covers how things have moved since the last conversation. We surface the things that matter to you: sleep, energy, what has budged and what has not, all in your own words.

About a day after the last session

Receive your Profile

We deliver your Profile, a read of how your depression presents and what changed alongside life. We present an interactive timeline you can look through, a detailed personalized symptom profile, and a medication analysis. Yours to keep.

Your next appointment

Send to your prescriber (optional)

We can directly send the report to your prescriber, or you walk in with it. Either way the conversation starts from a detailed picture instead of from “so how have you been?”

Reserve your spot for $49

Deposit is refundable any time before your first session and credits in full toward the Profile.

The handoff

How your prescriber gets it

At intake we ask one required question: who prescribes your psychiatric medication? Your answer decides which of these happens.

We send it directly

What we recommend

You give us your prescriber’s name and practice contact, and we deliver the clinical version to them about a day after your last session, in time for your next appointment, so they walk in prepared. This is the path we recommend, and it is the one the report was designed for.

You carry it in

If you would rather we not contact your prescriber, we don’t. You can share your Profile plus a one-page cover sheet that tells them what the document is, how best to utilize it, and how to contact us if they have any questions.

No prescriber yet?

The Orchard Profile is most valuable when you can share it with your clinician. If you don’t have a prescriber yet, we give resources for finding a psychiatric prescriber, including telepsychiatry options, and you keep your place in line.
