About Orchard Neuro
Depression care needs to enter the 21st century.
Too many depression treatment decisions are made from a fifteen-minute conversation and clinical vibes. Everything that happens to you - the days sleep broke, the week effort returned, the side effect that started five days after a dose change - is remembered imperfectly or not at all. Orchard Neuro exists to keep that record, build a quantitative understanding of those nuances, and improve the decision making for your care.
What we believe
Symptoms are plural.
"Depression, moderate" is a label, not a description. The parts move independently, and treatment should be aimed at the parts.
Evidence beats summary.
Every insight in a Profile traces to something the patient actually said, or to published pharmacology. If we can’t show the source, we don’t make the claim.
The clinician decides.
Our system is decision support. It never diagnoses, never prescribes, and never presents its reasoning as a substitute for clinical judgment.
Patients are our main audience.
A report written only for specialists leaves the patient out of their own care. Ours is written to be read by both.
Where we come from
Orchard Neuro is a startup spun out of a Stanford-based research effort studying what information matters most to helping folks with depression. That work continues alongside our core offering: an ongoing longitudinal study of lived experience, brain signals, and pharmacology. The Profile is our first product to start to bring our insights from research directly in the hands of the people who can benefit - the patients.
